Diligens Inc. achieves APC Elite Partner status!
(Ottawa, ON, Januray 23 2009)Diligens, a leading data center infrastructure specialist in the greater Ottawa area, today announced that it has now achieved the APC Elite Partner status. As a result, Diligens’ certified technical professionals now can design and implement data center power, cooling, and management solutions up to 250kW. Diligens Inc. Joins the APC Gold Certified Partner Program.
(Ottawa, ON, December 17 2007)Diligens, a leading data center infrastructure specialist in the greater Ottawa area, today announced that it recently joined the APC Gold Certified Partner Program. As a result, Diligens’ certified technical professionals now can design and implement data center power, cooling, and management solutions for its customers using APC’s online configuration tools.

Diligens’ certified professionals now can design APC InfraStruXure™ systems up to 80kW, which gives Diligens the ability to provide its customers with APC’s popular InfraStruXure architecture for data centres. This specialization allows Diligens to support a full range of clients, from small to medium businesses through enterprise-level markets, and focuses on opportunities that require advanced product knowledge and the ability to deploy solutions over multiple sites and geographies.

InfraStruXure is on-demand architecture for physical infrastructure. InfraStruXure, which integrates power, cooling, rack, management and services, allows the selection of standardized components to create a data center solution through modular and mobile configurations. By using standardized components, the architecture easily scales to meet changing needs and future expansion. February Workshop and Lunch. Diligens will be presenting at the "Great Companies + Great Products = Great Profits" workshop. Yannick De Meulemeester's session to be presented in the afternoon is entitled "Planned IT Migration - When Does the Spreadsheet Run Out of Gas?":

Spreadsheets are the ubiquitous Swiss-army knives of the young enterprise. As the company grows and matures, robust business solutions must be implemented in order to improve operational efficiencies. The challenge is to identify the right moment when the company will best benefit from migrating away from spreadsheet-based management tools. This presentation will highlight early warning signs as well as discuss the symptoms of a too large dependency on spreadsheets if the warnings are ignored. Options, steps to selecting a business solution and what to look for in a solution will also be discussed.

LanSafe is a sophisticated software package that is used in conjunction with Powerware UPSs to provide monitoring, operating system shutdown and control of the power across the network. LanSafe is bundled with Powerware UPSs free of charge. The advanced features of LanSafe include:

  • Preservation of data integrity system-wide through SafetyNet™ prioritized, sequential shutdown of all network devices
  • Graceful, orderly, unattended, sequential shutdown of up to 64 network devices powered by one UPS
  • Monitoring and control of power across UNIX and Windows/Windows NT platforms through intuitive, graphical user interface
  • Real-time notification of power problems through e-mail and SNMP traps

What's new in v5.0? LanSafe will replace OnliNet Vista / Centro and will become the main Power Management Software offered free-of-charge by Powerware.
