Diligens provides network and server administration for small and medium-sized businesses providing management, monitoring and support of your IT infrastructure that will allow you to focus on your business critical issues. Diligens services extend from remote monitoring to the complete management of the client’s IT infrastructure

Operational coverage is provided by Diligens for all aspects of your IT infrastructure.  Our clients may offload as much or as little of their IT workload as they wish. We provide the tools and expertise to monitor and manage your infrastructure from end to end.

Our infrastructure support for client locations in the Ottawa region can include outsourced desktop support, LAN and networking support, email and server management.  Businesses are free to focus on their core competencies or have their IT department perform a more strategic role in the company's core mission.

Our remote monitoring and reporting services for servers, networks and applications is included in our Managed IT Service offering but is also available as a standalone service.  Typical parameters that can be monitored for a device, depending on the device capabilities, can include:  CPU, process, memory, traffic, disk space, connection, log file status reports, database table space status, UPS battery status, printer toner low, critical application events, services and many more.

If you require periodic or full time IT services, Diligens will tailor a managed service solution for you. Our clients may choose from a menu of services. Through the use of secure VPN channels, Diligens can resolve issues remotely or on your site if necessary. Our easy to read Service Level Agreement (SLA) ensures that you receive the priority and response time to your call. We do all this for one, predictable monthly fee that’s far less than most companies currently pay to manage their own IT environment.

Server Administration

  • Server Operations: Cross platform support including Windows Server, Unix and Linux.

  • Backups: Incremental daily backups and weekly on-site backup media rotation (offsite storage is also available) is essential to operate your business safely. It is estimated that 30% of companies go bankrupt within one year of suffering a major fire or theft due to business data being destroyed or lost!

  • Internet Help Desk: The Internet HelpDesk provides a single point of contact for all user queries or problems that are managed through to resolution by Diligens' staff. Requests can be logged by using a Web based application and our support staff will then contact users within the timeframes defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

  • Service Level Agreement (SLA): Once we have agreed upon your service requirements, we present a clearly defined and measurable service level agreement.

  • Software Deployment: Automated distribution of software applications, upgrades and fixes means that applications can be rolled out to users in hours instead of weeks.

  • Standard Applications Support: We provide end user support for standard applications like Microsoft Exchange, Virus protection programs and so on.

  • Applications: The architecture, onfiguration, integration and deployment of an enterprise solution (e.g. Oracle application), or the design and development of a custom solution tailored to your needs (please consult our custom software section for details) is possible. Either solution would also incorporate testing, training and project management of the implementation. Implementation costing is done on a per project basis in accordance with the project scope.

  • Reporting: Statistical, trend or real-time reports will be provided for:

    • Availability and downtime of devices.
    • Service performance.

Network Management

As critical applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning, E-Commerce, and CRM are deployed throughout companies, providing the performance, reliability, and flexibility users expect from the network consumes valuable IT resources. Diligens frees IT staff from many of the daily management demands of LAN or WAN management, enabling them to spend more time on proactive business issues.  Our network consultants have the expertise to manage the routers, firewalls, switches, hubs and Virtual Private Network (VPNs) elements of your network.

On-Site Desktop Support

Our clients may offload as much or as little of their IT workload as they wish with services that include:

  • Desktop Support (includes onsite support!): A comprehensive support program including on-site hardware maintenance, proactive problem diagnosis, a certified service engineer and 3rd party vendor contact.

  • Adds, Moves and Changes (AMC): We co-ordinate and perform IT asset installations, upgrades, moves and changes including technician dispatch, logistics support and supplier management.

  • Standard Desktop Configuration: Standardization of your desktop environments will reduce complexity, resulting in fewer problems and lower support costs. We work with you to determine what your company policies and standards should be, then insure these are successfully implemented and managed.
